PVD coating proves gold for West
The Modus Super Series action continues this week with fond memories for Steve West after winning the weekly £5,000 1st prize!
Having finished 2nd in Group B on Thursday and Friday, Steve continued his quest for glory and climbing the rankings by taking the Week 7 Modus Super Series title with a 4-1 victory over Fallon Sherrock in the final. His 87.53 average proved to much for Fallon as he also hit 4 out of 12 on the doubles.
Both Steve and "The Queen of the Palace" played some great darts on the way to the final with West beating David Wawrzewski and Adam Hunt (both 4-3) in the group stage before a 4-0 semi-final whitewash of Tony Wood.
After the game Steve said "it's the gold coated Cosmo darts that gave me the confidence and focus to help get that winning edge".
PVD coating on a dart slightly increases grip which gives you more stability when throwing. It also helps with consistency of throw because there's less chance of it slipping as the player releases.
Maybe it's time to join our growing list of darts players giving their barrels the PVD treatment...
